Symptoms of Cancer of the Cervix

Cervical cancer is the second most common malignancy in women worldwide, and it remains a leading cause of cancer-related death for women in developing countries. In the United States, it is the fourth most common malignant neoplasm in women, after carcinoma of the breast, colorectum, and endometrium. The incidence of invasive cervical cancer has declined steadily in the United States over the past few decades; however, it continues to rise in many developing countries. The change in the epidemiological trend in the United States has been attributed to mass screening with Papanicolaou tests (Pap smears).

Main Symptoms of Cancer

Symptoms are the indications by the body that there is something wrong. These refer to the physical feelings undergone by the sick person. They may or may not be visible. The signs of an illness can be diagnosed by the doctor or the medical practitioner. Just one symptom cannot diagnose a particular disease but can lead to an investigation and help can be provided before the disease flairs up.

Genital Herpes Symptoms in Men

For those who are not familiar with genital herpes, detecting symptoms in men may be difficult. Understanding the disease is key to recognizing the symptoms associated with it. For the benefit of those unfamiliar with it, genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease. Known also as herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV2), it is one of two kinds of herpes, the other being HSV1 or what is more commonly known as cold sores. HSV2 is considered as the more severe of the two kinds of herpes. Once acquired, the virus stays in the body of the infected individual for life. It can lie dormant for a long time but can result in outbreaks that are usually triggered by stress or other diseases.

Female Symptoms of Herpes

The female anatomy is the probable cause of female symptoms of herpes to be more detrimental and harder to control than that of men. There are more women in the U.S. that have contracted the herpes virus as statistics show that 1 in 4 women are infected whereas 1 in 5 men have the virus. Since this is a sexually transmitted disease, learning genital herpes symptoms and what you can do to help prevent or control herpes is your best defense against this disease.

Symptoms of Skin Cancer

The symptoms of skin cancer are the easiest symptoms to detect. This is because cancer of the skin usually manifests itself in abnormal skin growths that are in plain sight. Although these may sometimes look like a simple sore or a pimple, when it fails to heal over time, this can immediately alert the patient that something is wrong. Also, most cancerous skin growths often ooze some fluid, bleed, and crust or scab over, which are more telltale signs that it is more than just a simple growth. These, however, are usually painless, which is why some people still fail to report their case, leading to delayed treatments.
